TRAVEL DIARIES: FORT WALTON BEACH,FL: DAY 2

fresh new post

Hi guys. A little bit of a later start on this Sunday morning. I enjoyed a cup of coffee on the patio this morning. Over looking the water really starts my day out different. It’s so relaxing.

Some of our friends are getting in tonight to join us on this vacay. Can’t wait for them to join us.

So let’s go over yesterday- which I thought was going to be our adventure day, but my husband ended up sick and so we really didn’t do too much.

TRAVEL DIARIES: FORT WALTON BEACH,FL DAY 2 & GOING BLONDE

My daughter and I spent the afternoon playing some board games together- which I loved, because I was able to spend some quality time together. She has an iPad and so quality board game time usually doesn’t compare if she can play her iPad. Which is a completely different post I want to address in From The Mom.

TRAVEL DIARIES: FORT WALTON BEACH,FL DAY 1

Hey guys- so I am feeling so relaxed after yesterday. Day 1 down in the beautiful Fort Walton Beach,FL and yesterday was beach day. I had been so excited to check out the beach since we got here and it did not disappoint. We got up yesterday morning and had a cup coffee on our balcony which over looks the water and let me just say- I could get used to that life.

TRAVELING TO DESTIN & A REBECCA MINKOFF MINUTE

So my plan was to have this amazing post today about all the things I saw between leaving Texas and Destin. All I saw was a burning truck, interstate and trees. No joke. So change of plans- just thought I would do a quick update and share something very special to me. The drive was good- total drive time 9.5 hours. Ugh- I am more of a “let’s fly” kind of girl, but I took one for the team and we drove. I just get so stir crazy in the car for that long. It was really cool to see Mississippi and Alabama- I’ve never been to either of those states before. I think I want to go check out Mobile,AL for reals though- it looks like a cool town.

MY AUGUST WISHLIST

Hey guys- so today was a travel day for me and that’s why this post is going up soooo late. I drove from Texas to Florida today for a good old fashioned family vacation. We hit a thunderstorm as we arrived across the Florida border and all of the stuff that was in the box of the truck got pretty wet- we have a truck box cover, but that didn’t seem to stop mother nature. That aside we are here and unpacked, dried off and ready to vacay. I will be here for 8 days and will be blogging each day as I go. Something I’ve never done before, but I am excited to try. Don’t forget to catch up with me on social media- I’ll be posting there too.
